Atlassian JIRA Align (formerly AgileCraft) is an enterprise tool that is used to align the Scrum teamwork to the overall strategy. It keeps our teams connected, gives our teams the roadmap to get us to the desired end state. We also use the Atlassian JIRA Align (formerly AgileCraft) Software for our agile development process, and the tools integrate well. Atlassian JIRA Align (formerly AgileCraft) also helps our program manager prepare funding requests and show value for the money already invested.
  • Roadmap for our Scrum teams
  • Visibility into our digital transformation
  • There is no support for waterfall. While our development team is an agile shop, some internal partners are still waterfall. It would be nice to have better support for their work.
The Atlassian Jira Align (formerly AgileCraft) tools help keep our scrum teams moving in the right direction. It gives Sr. Executives visibility into the progress of our digital transformation efforts. It provides information to our program manager to create the necessary artifacts to justify continued funding of our initiatives. It also supports the SAFe framework, along with some others. And the Atlassian Jira Align (formerly AgileCraft) tools provide integration to other tools that we use in our portfolio.

  • Atlassian JIRA Align (formerly AgileCraft), in my opinion, has helped to bring the scrum teams and squads together, working toward common goals.
  • Atlassian JIRA Align (formerly AgileCraft) aligns with our agile development and offers full support for our SAFe framework.
Atlassian JIRA Align (formerly AgileCraft) has an excellent suite of tools that integrate well with other tools and offers full support for various agile frameworks, including SAFe. It's just a complete integrated package, whereas some other tools seem to be lacking in different areas. Several plug-ins can be integrated to help with pro serv invoicing and integration with GitHub, Jenkins, Confluence, and other tools that we use.
I am satisfied with the support for Atlassian JIRA Align (formerly Agile Craft). There is a broad knowledge base online provided by Atlassian for the various Jira products. There is also an online community that can help address questions and provide guidance. There is also excellent customer support. We haven't had to report any bugs or open any cases for our team.

  • Existing Relationship with the Vendor
We needed a tool that could help alignment across our multiple squads and scrum teams. We have a technology team of about 200 team members broken into units and then scrum teams. Atlassian JIRA Align (formerly AgileCraft) and Jira Software give us insight and help us track the progress of our digital transformation across our suite of applications. When we evaluated this tool, we immediately saw this value.
We create a scorecard with criteria based on the use cases that we define. We create a scoring matrix for that criteria so that we can objectively evaluate the various tools in the evaluation process. Based on the evaluation and trial software usage, Atlassian JIRA Align (formerly AgileCraft) scored the highest meeting all of our needs. I like our scorecard evaluation process and it works well. It helps prevent people from playing favorites and helps us select the right tools to meet our needs.
No
We have just the regular support for this tool. That seems to be sufficient to meet our needs, and the support team is very responsive and able to answer our questions quickly. We are pleased with the service that they have provided to us under their regular support model.
No
We have not had any exceptional support services. However, we have not needed anything unique from this support team.
The vendor relationship with this vendor is cordial. They are responsive to our requests and take the time to listen to our needs and concerns. They didn't just come in and try to slam in a product but took the time to work with us to help us find the right product.
The vendor continues to provide excellent support for our team even after the sale. This is refreshing because some vendors close the deal and then don't give us any attention because the deal is done. Not true for Atlassian JIRA Align (formerly AgileCraft). I realize our enterprise is vast, so it's in their best interest to take care of us, and they do.
We negotiated on cost, support and having a professional services person assist with the deployment. Our enterprise can be challenging to work with because we as customers are demanding given the size of the organization. This vendor was able to work with us and come to terms with us so that we could purchase their products and get them deployed and in use.
Not really, treat them respectfully like you would expect to be treated. They will work with you the best that they can. They have a great product and have some flexibility. But keep in mind that GSA constrains everyone. Expect discounts to be in line with the size of your organization.

Atlassian Jira Align (formerly Agile Craft) is used by all the software, firmware, and test engineering teams. Any groups that need to track work on software tasks find these useful, and teams that interface with them then pick up the tools to communicate projects, tasks, and priorities to them. It is NOT used by outside teams, even within engineering. Mechanical Engineering is a great example, where interface directly to software teams is limited, and work tracking can be done in more traditional or personalized ways, and collaboration is usually done differently. They probably COULD use Jira, but many people prefer not to or dislike adjusting to new ways of tracking themselves.
  • Great for work with several teams
  • Great for tracking diverse tasks in various groups for common goals
  • This service is sometimes hard to navigate and organize.
  • Comments and tasks can often slip between the cracks. They are always there, but sometimes hard to find if put on the backlog, or left alone.
Atlassian Jira Align (formerly AgileCraft) is great for tracking software tasks. It can be used by managers to keep track of the work that developers are doing. It is not well suited to tracking groups outside of these teams, and not very useful for communication in issues between groups.

  • Helps deliver software projects on time
  • Used to complete improvement mini-projects
Atlassian Jira Align (formerly AgileCraft) is formatted in a way that's conducive to software development and Agile methodology. These other programs have their own, different uses in tracking, and are typically clunkier than Atlassian Jira Align (formerly AgileCraft).
I never had to use support from Atlassian Jira Align (formerly AgileCraft). I have heard they are quite responsive.

Atlassian Jira is an efficient project management tool that we have been using for the past three years. Especially to the IT department, it has provided us with the most efficient operation in an Agile Scrum development framework. Using it exhaustively for the past few years it has helped us to organize and monitor software development and support effectively. Being in the retail sector we have had multiple issues organizing production and implementation of different software programs over different verticals. Atlassian Jira helped us to organize those tenuous developments under one roof. Jira is highly flexible and customizable as per the projects that you have and across different departments. The customization of features in Jira enables your organization to develop and implement various IT projects at the same time. Jira makes the whole process more effective and efficient.
  • Jira is a great project management tool when it comes to tracking the progress of deliverables and milestones. Each member of the team can track individual deliverables and milestones. Jira comes with filters and search functions to perform these tasks.
  • Jira is highly flexible when it comes to maintaining tasks and deliverable backlogs. You can plan and organize your sprints in such a way that you include your previous backlogs in them.
  • The biggest challenge with Jira is maintaining the workflows. There are issues with workflow customization especially if you depend heavily on long workflow with a large number of rows, as scrolling function's unavailability in a static view creates issues in readability.
  • The efficiency of using Jira can go down with the ease of use as new users who are untrained in Jira find it difficult to navigate over Jira efficiently. Users are required to be trained on Jira navigation and customization before using Jira.
Jira is very well suited for large organizations like mine where you are required to run multiple projects in a highly integrated environment. Jira gives you the flexibility to customize the features for different projects and verticals. High flexibility in adding new features across different verticals makes it a very efficient tool. Being expensive and feature-oriented, Jira is not suitable if your organization relies heavily on small projects and outsourced vendors for development - in that case tracking projects through Jira comes out to be a big challenge. Jira is also not well suited for companies who don’t want to invest in training as Jira requires some amount of training for new users.

  • With Jira, it is very easy to track down various bottlenecks in the deliverables further streamlining the development process in the production stage. Running numerous IT projects with multiple bottlenecks and backlogs was the biggest challenge that we ever faced before implementing Jira. Jira made the process more efficient by saving time and money.
  • Jira helped to build customized features for different verticals. Rather than investing in different third party tools we were able to perform the same tasks in Jira. This saved us lot of money.
Atlassian Jira is packed with features, though it costs more to have Jira compared to its competitors still it performs well for a large organization which depends a lot on digital channels for retail. For us, during product evaluation, Jira was the first choice compared to Rally and VersionOne. Jira brought in many features some of them include better integration, multiple access through the client, high customizability, etc. Some of these features were very limited in competitors, while some of them needed a third party service making the whole process inefficient. Jira came out to be the most effective alternative compared to others.
Overall support from Jira team is good. It comes at an additional price but it is very efficient. There are no long wait times, you get a dedicated team to look into your issues. The support is available throughout the year and they keep a record of your issues. Overall we are very satisfied with the support they have provided us over the years, it has been very effective for the price that we pay.

AgileCraft can be used for planning & delivery management for teams practicing scrum. We do budget forecasting , multiple release plannings using this tool at program level. We create Dashboards & captured key metrics which are presented to higher management. At team level it can be used to run daily scrum since teams are distributed at multiple locations where team can burn their hours in AgileCraft during scrum meeting itself providing more clarity where each associate is working. For estimation, planning poker game is available enabling distributed teams to estimate where stories can be pulled directly from product backlog. Other than stories, defects and test case management, it can be used to run retrospectives where action items can be captured, assigned & tracked. Scrum master can easily assign to stakeholders & track the action items to closure. AgileCraft can be used to manage sprint ceremonies effectively for distributed teams along with program level tracking for value & cost.
  • Effective Sprint planning : Sprint planning can be done using Planning Poker in AgileCraft by clicking Team > Manage > Other > Estimation Games very effectively for distributed teams.
  • Team Capacity Allocation Report: After tasks are created at team or program level, the report from AgileCraft cab be pulled and can be verified that no team member is under or over allocated. A report can be generated by navigating to Team > Manage > Assign Tasks.
  • Effective Requirement trace-ability: To maintain requirements trace-ability follow the steps below:
  • Upload test cases against the story/requirement. once uploaded test cases will be visible under that story
  • Execute Test cases in AgileCraft and mark them as Pass/Fail based on the actual outcome
  • Based on test results, The acceptance criterion's can be marked as “Pass” or “Fail” & if marked failed corresponding defect can be logged & can be attached with the story
  • So against each story we can easily see whether all test cases been executed or not & which acceptance criterion's are failed & how many defects are in open or close state.
  • Daily Scrum: In AgileCraft, the option to run a daily stand-up is available from Team > Manage > Daily Standups. Selecting the sprint number opens the daily stand-up meeting window in which each team member's tasks are visible and hours can be burned against them. Conduct Scrum meetings in AgileCraft, and burn each associate hour against the tasks created during the meeting. The burn-down chart can be generated & viewed during the stand-up to check whether the team is on track.
  • Program level metrics & Scorecards: Though we can generate few metrics & scorecards but I feel few more metrics can be added like velocity acceleration , team improvement rate.
  • QA team often come to me regarding the test case tagging, it is very difficult to search particular test case here so I feel advance search feature should be provided.
  • Program Planning: In Agilecraft program tracker if we have lot of multiple dependencies & where situation demands to look at our features holistically across the entire landscape of the solution, it did not provide proper support.
  • Also If I need to take a call at which sprint need to be optimized I did not get that decision making enablement here.
1) Forecasting & Release Planning 2) Scaling Agile at enterprise level 3) To maintain transparency, lot of information radiators, games, reports are available enabling transparency at portfolio level

  • Able to forecast & plan releases well using agilecraft leading to quality on time delivery.
  • Distributed teams are able to collaborate well, be it be daily scrum, retrospective, estimation though this. Also team members love the gamification part & they have fun using this tool. Earlier we use to face challenges due to distributed teams but after AgileCraft, collaboration & communication was no longer a challenge & we are able to see improvement not only in team velocity, but also team satisfaction.
  • Simplest tool to implement safe, scaling is always a problem with most of the agile tools but agilecraft helps in smoother implementation of safe practices & principles.
JIRA basic version do not have basic support for test management, capacity planning & forecasting. Rally is good & rich in features but if you want to implement safe , Agilecraft is definitely a better choice. Rally supports safe but I did not get good support from technical desk & few features are really cumbersome to use. HP Quality Center 11 supports agile teams well but I found it pretty costly.
